There were four days of meetings and discussions about External Development. The XDS (External Development Summit) took place in Vancouver, Canada, from September 7 to 9 and hosted nine companies from Brazil, which traveled supported by the Brazil Games Project. At Brazil Games lounge, companies could meet partners and future partners to present their projects. Kokku and Puga, two important Brazilian studios, were with their own stands at the event. Diorama, one of the largest game companies in Brazil, was also present through Everaldo Neto and Bruno Palermo, who were presenting their projects during the XDS.
The Brazil Games Project schedule started on September 6 with the excellent agenda offered by the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) in British Columbia and the Brazilian Consulate in Vancouver. On the agenda was the meeting with specialists in internationalization, visas for starting a business (start up Visa), immigration processes, acceleration programs and investments. The success of the XD Summit was celebrated by all the participants, who returned with good contacts on their agenda and many plans.
Before the event, XD Summit released an important report with data on the games market - XDS Summit 2022 Insights Report on External Development. According to the report, in the last two years Developers/Publishers highlighted Brazil as the most promising region in the provision of services. According to the study, 3D art, concept art, and cinematic visual effects remain the top projected growth driver year by year. UI/UX dropped a spot among the top five; console development took its place. See more HERE.
