BIG Festival
The biggest gaming event in Latin America is in its 11th edition
Among the 626 games registred, 110 were selected for the BIG Awards.
Brazil establishes itself as one of the main centers of creativity and innovation in the independent games sector. And this is consolidated in the numbers forecast for the 2023 BIG Festival. Among the new attractions are Pitch@BIG, which will open space for five studios selected by the jury to present their games and compete for a prize. The session will be coordinated by one of the greatest experts in the games sector, Jason Della Rocca, responsible for the pitch sessions at the GDC (Games Developers Conference). The selected will need to present their games to a team of judges composed of big names in the market. The subscriptions are closed, but you can have information HERE.
On May 17, inclusive, Jason Della Rocca managed a lecture via webinar and gave several tips on how to prepare a great pitch. The Canadian was very successful among spectators who were at BIG Festival Youtube channel. Those who could not participate do not need to be sad, because the video is available HERE.

Another unprecedented news is the BIG Artists space, which will take place for the first time to offer an area reserved for independent artists, who will be able to exhibit their original works. BIG Artists will feature five Brazilian artists, previously selected by a jury. In addition, BIG Festival 2023 announced the presence of Devolver Digital and Atari at Panorama Mundo, the launch area for games from major publishers at the event.
Together, the two publishers (Devolver Digital and Atari) will make seven different titles available for visitors to play. Devolver Digital, a publisher specialized in publishing independent games, will take four game demos to six stations at Panorama Mundo. Atari will occupy five stations of Panorama Mundo and will bring demos of three titles to the public. Along with Devolver Digital and Atari, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Games and Wargaming are the other industry giants that will also be present at the BIG Festival 2023.
