wEb summit lisbon
The Web Summit will take place in Lisbon from November 13 to 16
For the first time, Abragames will be there to represent Brazil with 7 Brazil Games studios.
Web Summit is the largest technology conference in Europe, held annually since 2009 in Lisbon. Abragames sees this event as an excellent opportunity to promote connections between Brazilian companies and the international market.
ApexBrasil, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Embassy of Brazil in Lisbon, in collaboration with SEBRAE and SERPRO (Federal Data Processing Service), and with the support of other Brazilian entities, will be promoting the Internationalization Mission for Web Summit from November 12 to 17, 2023. The goal is to assist innovative Brazilian companies with the potential to do business in Portugal or Europe.
The event features over 1,000 speakers, 2,300 startups, 1,000 investors, and approximately 160 countries will be represented with their delegations. For Abragames, this diverse and high-level environment represents a valuable opportunity for growth and collaboration. Through active participation in Web Summit, we see the chance to strengthen connections between the Brazilian game industry and international partners, explore new technological trends, and, most importantly, promote our talented game studios on a global stage.
In the Brazilian pavilion, where companies from different sectors of the national economy will come together, a dedicated area for lectures and presentations will showcase some of the country's business potential. Rodrigo Terra, Abragames' President, will lead a panel to talk about how to do business with Brazil. Fábio Cesnick from CQS/FV Lawyers will be participating.

RESEARCH: NATIONAL GAME INDUSTRY
Abragames encouraged market participation in the National Game Industry Survey
All developers and studios within the national territory were invited to collaborate.
Participating in the Brazilian Game Industry Survey is a fundamental step for the growth and strengthening of the game development sector in Brazil. The survey not only provides a comprehensive overview of the national game market but also offers valuable insights into the trends, challenges, and opportunities that shape the gaming industry. By sharing their experiences and information, developers and studios contribute to the construction of a solid data foundation that supports public policies, attracts investments, and promotes visibility for our creative and innovative landscape.
To fully grasp the importance of participating in the Brazilian Game Industry Survey, we can look at the research conducted last year, which shed light on the remarkable growth of the gaming industry in Brazil on an international level. The results of that study not only showcased the economic expansion of the sector but also its innovative potential and its increasing influence in the global gaming market.
Click here to read the 2023 Fact Sheet already provided by Abragames. The complete 2023 survey will be presented in November.
