Abragames has been renewed the partnership with ApexBrasil
Partnership aims to continue promoting the Brazilian games industry in the international market.
Abragames (Brazilian Game Companies Association,) renewed the partnership contract with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) for another two years, - 2023/2024. In 2023, the entities will celebrate ten years of partnership, which focuses on the Brazil Games Sectorial Project, created to improve Brazilian video game exports, boosting business and giving even more visibility to national projects.
With the renovation, Abragames and ApexBrasil want to surpass the excellent results achieved in recent years – considered the best in history –, in addition to expanding the presence of national studios among major international events from the sector.
“All the results achieved by the project, with the quality and assertiveness of the commercial promotion actions, were crucial for us to be able to expand investments for the next two years with the objective of consolidating Brazil as a emerging country in the games sector in the world. ”, concludes Eros Ramos, portfolio manager of technology, games and innovation programs and projects at ApexBrasil's Industries and Services Management.
Rodrigo Terra, president of Abragames, says: “For us it is a very important step, even more so in a moment of maturity of the national industry, with more and more business opportunities. We will once again have the chance to promote Brazilian studios abroad and open doors for new contracts with companies interested in investing in our industry. Today, the global market is a real option for Brazilians and no longer a distant dream, and we are certain that the next two years will be a period of great achievements”.
Throughout this decade of partnership, Abragames and ApexBrasil, through Brazil Games, have already carried out more than 100 activations and closed important partnerships for the Brazilian industry, such as Sebrae and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, even resulting in the production of Brazil Games Week , a program that takes important information about the potential of the game industry in Brazil to different countries around the world.
“Brazil Games aims to give even more international visibility to the excellent projects developed in Brazil. We live a unique moment in our industry and with the real possibility of being one of the biggest game development hubs in the world”, says Eliana Russi, international director of Abragames “Over a decade of partnership, Brazil went from 20 to more than 1,000 studios that develop game projects in different business models. For another two years, we will continue with this great cooperation agreement in which Abragames represents the Brazilian industry in the management of various actions aimed at the gamer universe, generating awareness and business for the studios in our country.”
In 2023, the expectation is that Abragames and the delegation of Brazilian studios, through Brazil Games, will cover events such as Game Developers Conference (GDC), Game Connection America, BIG Festival, Gamescom, External Development Summit (XDS) and Kidscreen , among others.
