Speaking of the Brazilian games industry, it reunites every year in June when Sao Paulo becomes the heart of the Indie Game scene in Latin America during the BIG Festival, Brazil's Independent Game Festival. The 7th edition of the festival was held this year from June 26 to June 30 and it was a real success with more than 630 professional attendees representing 358 different companies, while 126 of them came from abroad. The representatives of the festival will be attending Gamescom with the delegation, and are more than happy to share information and discuss about the Brazilian market.
Brazil is one of the fastest growing countries in the gaming industry and is gradually moving forward a more relevant role in the global scenario. In 2018 the country was the 13th largest market in the world with a player base of more than 75 Million (#3 in the world), and 375 digital game developers companies, growing 28% in one year according to the II Census of the Digital Games Industry.
