Welcome to the first Brazil Games Newsletter!

Brazilian studios are conquering awards and receiving recognition worldwide, thanks to the combined efforts of Brazil Games and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

Hot games and hotter temperatures heated up the game industry at the beginning of the year. For starters, a record-breaking size Brazilian Delegation at GDC 2019: 47 Brazilian companies attending the conference this year.

The following games will be fighting for recognition against the best games in the world at GDC: Relic Hunters, by Rogue Snail, and DeMagnete VR, by BitCake, are two of the eight winners of Best in Play, organised by GDC Conference. Areia, by GILP Studio, received an honourable mention of the same award. Dandara, by Long Hat House, Lila's Tale, by Skullfish Studios, Looney Tunes™ World Of Mayhem, by Aquiris Game Studio, Tetragon, by Cafundó Estúdio Criativo, Hoppia Tale, by Ludic Side Game Studio, and Until Dead, by Monomyto Game Studio are the six Brazilian finalists for the 15th International Mobile Gaming Awards, IMGA.

New Brazilian games are being released within the country and exported all over the world. Game Developers are attending global events in China and Canada and Brazilian games are being featured in the US App Store and at in the prestigious Famitsu publication– Japan’s biggest game magazine.

Brazil Games agenda for 2019/20 includes Kidscreen Summit, Game Developers Conference – GDC, Game Connection America, Pax East, Gamescom, a China Mission, External Development Summit - XDS and BIG Festival and Business Forum.
